The Wonderful World of Olives and Olive Oil

Olive Oil is derived from the fruit of the olive tree, a native of Syria. Many varieties of the species are cultivated in the region surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, the subtropical regions of South America and the state of California.
The oil from the olives vary; from green to pale yellow, to yellow green.
The olive oil pleases the palette as well as contributes to good health.
The oil flows from the olives without the need of additives or any chemical process and all of the oils flavor and aroma are preserved.
It was sometimes used coat the stomach as an antidote for ammonia poisoning. There are many other uses for this wonderful natural substance.
